Volunteer & Intern Roles

As a volunteer or intern, you can contribute in various areas including administration, fundraising, academic support, or creative programs in art, reading, music, and dance. We'll match your skills and interests with our organizational needs for a rewarding experience.

Qualifications

We're seeking dedicated volunteers and interns who are passionate about youth empowerment. To qualify, you should meet at least one of these criteria:

  • Completed or currently pursuing higher education (university or college)
  • Possess transferable professional or technical skills
  • Have experience in any profession, trade, or field of expertise

Who You'll Work With

Our participants are children and youth from Kawangware, primarily from families living below the poverty line. We serve students in grades 4-8 and throughout secondary school, providing them with educational support, mentorship, and creative opportunities.

Time Commitment

We ask volunteers to commit at least 3 days per week at our Maisha Yangu center. This consistent presence allows you to build meaningful relationships with students and make a sustained impact. Internships typically run for 3-6 months with flexible scheduling options.
